HR & Workforce Management Software
Plus Office creates HR and HSE management software for companies with large field and remote teams. Their web-based system was solid, but it left out the people who actually work outside the office.On-site staff, drivers, and technicians couldn't easily log their hours, ask for time off, or do their training because they didn't have a computer handy. As a result, attendance and leave data was often entered late or reconstructed after the fact from paper notes, which meant HR was always playing catch-up instead of working from real-time records. To fix this, Divtechnosoft teamed up with Plus Office to turn their web platform into a true mobile app. Now, field workers have the full power of the HR system right in their pockets, even when they're working somewhere without a cell signal.

About Plus Office
Plus Office, part of the Nordic compliance group WeKomply, provides smart, user-friendly HR and HSE software that elevates compliance to operational efficiency. . A large share of the people using their software to build safe, productive workplaces are out in the field construction crews, transport and logistics staff, and site-based technicians and they hardly ever sit at a desk.
As Plus Office got more customers, they noticed a growing problem: their HR system was great, but it wasn't easy to use for the people who actually needed it the most.
That friction is exactly why they came to Divtechnosoft to build a mobile version of their platform.

Business Challenge
The core issue was that Plus Office's customers were trying to manage field workers using tools designed for desk jobs. People were tracking their time on paper or spreadsheets, time-off requests took forever to get approved, and HR had a hard time knowing if safety training was actually getting done.
Basically, field workers were totally cut off from the HR system when they needed it most. That disconnect showed up as real operational cost: payroll runs delayed by timesheets that arrived days late, HR staff spending hours each week reconciling paper records against the web system, and compliance visibility gaps around who had actually completed required safety training.
Without a mobile app, Plus Office was in danger of falling behind competitors who were already catering to field-heavy industries.
Technical Challenges
Extending enterprise HR functionality to mobile while maintaining security and data integrity.
Offline Synchronization
The tricky part about offline support wasn't just letting people use the app without a signal,it was figuring out what to do when two people edit the exact same data before getting back online. We implemented a conflict-aware sync model with a manual review queue for approval-sensitive fields like leave balances, ensuring conflicting edits never silently overwrite each other.
Secure Authentication
Since field workers often use their own phones or share devices, we had to make sure their HR data was secure without making the app a pain to log into every single time. We implemented token-based authentication with short session expiry, supported by biometric login and encrypted local storage for offline data to ensure both security and convenience.
Real-Time Data Sync
It was super important for HR teams to have accurate, up-to-the-minute attendance and leave data. That meant we had to keep the mobile and web apps perfectly in sync in real time, not just when someone finally reconnected to the internet. We utilized an event-driven sync mechanism with webhook-based push updates to guarantee immediate data consistency across platforms.
Performance Optimization
HR data like training records and attendance history can get pretty heavy, and field workers aren't always using the newest phones or the fastest networks. We had to make sure the app ran smoothly no matter what. To achieve this, we employed aggressive payload compression, lazy loading for heavy assets, and an intelligent caching strategy to minimize data transfer and maximize responsiveness.
Cross-Platform Compatibility
Since we were building for both iOS and Android, we had to make sure the app felt exactly the same on both. This was especially tricky for things like offline storage and push notifications, which tend to act differently depending on the operating system. We leveraged React Native for a shared codebase, while writing custom native modules to handle platform-specific quirks in background processing and local storage.
Our Development Roadmap
Extending enterprise HR software to mobile platforms.
Requirement Analysis
We started by digging into how the current web system handled HR tasks. We talked to the field staff and HR admins to figure out what needed a fresh mobile design and what we could just carry over.
UI/UX Design
We designed the app specifically for mobile, making sure things like clocking in, asking for time off, and doing training took as few taps as possible and worked great even offline.
Mobile Development
We built the app for both iOS and Android using React Native and Ionic. We made sure it could store data offline, sync in the background, and show different views depending on if you're an employee, a supervisor, or in HR.
API Integration
We created APIs to connect the new mobile app right into Plus Office's existing web setup, making sure everything stayed in sync as a single source of truth.
Testing
We took it out into the real world for testing. We really focused on making sure it handled losing and regaining internet connection smoothly.
Deployment
Finally, we launched it on Google Play, rolling it out carefully and keeping a close eye on how it performed.
Our Solution
We developed a cross-platform mobile app (iOS & Android) for Plus Office, fully integrated with their existing web backend. The solution included user authentication, role-based access, time-tracking, absence/holiday management, and training modules.
Time Tracking
Mobile time logging with clock-in/out functionality and timesheet management.
Absence Management
Request and manage holidays, sick leave, and other absences from mobile devices.
Training & Courses
Access training materials, complete courses, and track HSE compliance tasks.
Notifications
Push notifications for deadlines, approvals, and important HR updates.
Key Features
Comprehensive HR features optimized for mobile workforce management.
Attendance Tracking
Workers can easily clock in and out from wherever they are using GPS-tagged entries. This means HR gets accurate attendance data in real-time without having to chase down paper records.
Leave Management
Employees can request time off and see their current leave balances right from their phones. It cuts approval times from days down to hours and stops the endless back-and-forth emails with HR.
Time Tracking
Easily log work hours, breaks, and any overtime. The app automatically builds timesheets, so nobody has to spend hours compiling them manually for payroll.
Employee Directory
Supervisors and field staff can instantly pull up contact info and roles for anyone on the team. It makes coordinating across different job sites a breeze without having to bother HR.
Notifications
Instead of sending an email and just hoping people see it, the app sends push notifications for approvals, deadlines, and important HR updates so field staff actually get the message.
Reports
Both managers and employees can pull up real-time reports on things like hours worked, leave balances, and training progress,no more waiting around for HR to manually put the numbers together.
Training Management
Staff can see what courses they need to take, finish modules right from the field, receive reminders before safety compliance deadlines, reducing overdue training tasks.
Role-Based Access
We built different views for employees, supervisors, and HR admins. That way, a field worker just trying to log their hours doesn't have to wade through a complicated admin menu.
"They respond quickly and provide incredibly fast solutions whenever issues or requests are presented. The fact that they create a new template tailored to the company's needs while you're still on the call is impressive! That's how you create satisfied customers!"
Key Takeaways
Plus Office had a clear goal: they needed to get their HR tools into the hands of employees who don't sit at desks, the field staff, remote workers, and teams who often work without a solid internet connection.
The Implementation
Divtechnosoft helped them by taking their existing web-based HR system and turning it into a fully-featured mobile app. We built it offline-first, so workers can track their time, manage leave, and do their training anywhere.
The Outcome
Because it shares a backend with the web system, all the data stays perfectly in sync. The end result? Faster approvals, spot-on attendance tracking, and an HR system that actually works for the people in the field.
